A Special Purchase

Last night I bought something for the new house. I haven't bought anything for it, and try not to make plans or get my hopes up. But last night I saw something and knew I NEEDED it for the new house. I convinced Mike and we bought it! Okay, I was going to write what it was...but I want you to guess. Make you guess and write it int he comment box and i'll post a picture of my purchase in a couple of days.

no news is good news....

I have so many things that I want to post about...but time is rare these days. It is stormy and I want to stay cozy all day. The kids are enjoying a special treat right now...Sid the Science Kid.First of all here are a couple of pictures. My boys, and Bana with the darling hat her Aunties made for her..she loves it. They have started making these. Down at the Otter Creek Homestead things are going well. Mike and I picked out the texturing yesterday...we didn't know what we were doing. I still can't believe the sheet rock got hung in one day!! It made me realize how much faster it would go if we hired it out...and how much more expensive!! So...my tam rocked at volleyball last week,. I think that we finally found our groove and how to play together. It was AWESOME!! I got asked to teach a Truffle class for another ward in the stake. It is in Nov. I am so excited, it really is something I enjoy doing, but definately need an excuse to do it. Mike's boss came out to visit last week. It was the first time he has been out here in the almost three years Mike has worked here. Mike said it was really good having him here. They looked for a new building...hooray! He also told Mike about a training in Nov, so I think we will take a little couple time then. We are going to Kansas for Thanksgiving to visit the Gile Family. We are all REALLY excited for that. It has been a long time since we took the kids on a trip. As usual, it will be too short, but fun. Well, that is about it..gotta get my day started.

Finally!!

We let Bana decide when she was going to get her ears pierced. So the other day she asked if she could and I told her next time we went to Grammys. So Tuesday evening Norah, Maryann, Katie, Jeffrey, Bana and I went to Claire's. Bana picked out the....yep, purple earrings.

It hurt a little more than she expected, but in the end, she loves them. Everyday she tells me that all the girls in our family have their ears pierced.

Over the hill

Okay how about over the hill birthday being celebrated by going over a hill. Mount Killamejaro (I think I butchered the spelling) in 9 years.....who is in?

Organizing

I am organizing papers today. I found this that i had ripped out of a magazine...I loved it then and still love it.

My butt is big and round like the letter c
and ten thousand lunges have made it rounder but not smaller and that's just fine.
It's a space heater for my side of the bed it's my ambassador to those who walk behind me
It's a border collie that herds skinny women away from the best deals at clothing sales.
My butt is big and that's just fine and those who might scorn it are invited to kiss it.

All those boys are much too much

The Ray boys spent their yearly brother's reunion here helping on the house. It was fun to see them all. They are all very awesome men, that I am proud to say are my brother in laws and hubby. Whenever I saw them, they were laughing and smiling...like they knew a great joke. The kids loved seeing them, and Jeffrey went and worked all day with them. They are great workers. It makes me miss my Ray family that I don't seeing nearly enough.

the rest...

Oh, and the other reason I am so awesome...yesterday Katie puked and when she came out of the bathroom, she told me the lid was closed. So I got to clean up puke and let me tell you..IT WAS EVERYWHERE!! And, my bra broke, like completely died. I have not had a chance to go get one...so I am braless. Yep...AWESOME!!!

Awesomeness

Yes it is a word. I am so glad that I am so very awesome. This morning I decided that I wanted to finally try my hand at Manicotti (No this is not a cooking blog...I am just in a cooking mood) so I had homemade sauce cooking and Manicotti filling prepped before 8 am this morning. I was going good and strong, and then the realtor called and said someone wanted to see the house at 6:30..okay, then Savannah started shivering. Great, she got what Katie had. So about 1pm I was on a roll and the realtor called again and said another person wanted to come see it at 3:30...it is a blessing...pray it will sell soon. But then I went into overload. The children got watermelon for breakfast and lunch. They were in the car when I was mopping the floor. So we left the house at 3 and didn't get home until 7:30 tonight to finish making the manicotti. The house is clean, but I am a little off with a sick baby, and Mike's brothers coming tomorrow, and a whole day with nothing done as planned. Oh the joys of life.
