Home again
I have been wanting to blog about our trip to the big city, but it has taken a long time to re-group, I have lost my motivation. But it was a wonderful trip. We got to go to Welfare Square and the Humanitarian Center with Grandma Ray. They were both really neat places. We went to the cemetary where Great Grandpa and Grandma Ray are buried. The kids had fun gathering old pots and flowers that were inthe ditches and putting them on their graves. I thought it was so funny that I let then do it. We went to Temple Square with Shana. We were sad that the Church Office Building was closed on Saturday so we couldn't go to the top. We even got to sleep in the tent at George and Sharon's. We are very glad that we do not live in the city.On Monday we got to go to Utah Lake on the sail boat. There wasn't much wind, so Maryann, Abby, the kids and I got in and swam around. I think they could have done that all day. Parley had to get in too. On Tuesday I went to my first La Leche League Meeting, it was in Park City. It was good, I am glad that I am learning so much. Then we headed home. The kids were SO good, and I listened to a book on CD, that is rare. We did get a chance to go fishing this week with Savannah's new fishing pole that she won at Alive after Five. Thankfully we didn't catch anything. I tookt he kids to the fair to see the entries and go to the children's barn thing. It was fun. All is well and uneventful. We are getting ready for the Carter adn Gile families, and then school. I think that emotionally, mentally and physically I am finally ready to start again. But it seriously took ALL summer to get to that point. I hope that this school year goes well. I have a motivation system I am ready to start, I hope it works. I hope all had a great summer, and are doing well.
