I had a brilliant idea and was so excited about it. It was to make discs that snap on the end of a rolling pin. They would come in three sizes 1/4 inch 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch. That way when you were rolling out cookie, pie or whatever, it would all be the same thickness, in the thickness you want.
I thought it was brilliant!. The only draw back would be that you would have to be rolling something out that would fit in between the rolling pin.
So the other day I was watching my tread mill show and they were answering questions about how to make good sugar cookies. And the tip they gave...
Set chop sticks on the side of your dough, and the pin would rest on that, or add rubber bands to the end of the pin, and until desired thickness.
Now THAT is brilliant. THAT is inexpensive!
Maybe I'm not an inventor after all.
